I started my public Instagram account during the 2020 lockdown. At that time, I was creating lots of artwork and wanted to share it with the online community - mostly just for fun.
Within less than a year, my account suddenly blew up - in just one week I gained 3,000 new followers with this REEL, all organic.
Sounds wild, but when you’re in the zone, you just know - you post something and instantly think, “Yep, this one’s going viral.”
From that one viral video, everything started to pay off. My next Reels began getting more views than usual, and now my posts average around 10,000 views each.
Engagement was pretty good, I keep my community active by using Call-to-action line, telling story but keep it short and personal, using the right hashtags…
Unfortunately, I stopped posting on social media for about two years (from 2022 to 2024), and it completely killed my algorithm reach.
The biggest lesson I learned from that?
Never leave your page inactive for too long.
In early 2025, I started posting again - but this time, everything felt different. The game had changed. People changed. The algorithm changed. And I knew I had to change my strategy too.
