to communicate?
I started my public Instagram account during the 2020 lockdown. At that time, I was creating lots of artwork and wanted to share it with the online community - mostly just for fun.
While posting my illustrations, I slowly taught myself how social media works. Everyone kept saying “stay consistent and it will pay off!” - so I posted a lot. But in reality, the algorithm changes every day. So instead of just following random tips, I began studying social media more seriously — what to post, how to write captions, and why choosing one format works better than another.
Thanks to my Communication Design degree, I began to understand the bigger picture: it’s all about what you want to communicate and who you’re speaking to. You have to define your audience first.
